Volunteering, a very good way to
teach, serve, care and help others has a meaningful,
positive impact on a society and the volunteers too
can have many benefits like getting practical knowledge
of a country or a region with different culture and
customs.
|
|
Whether you teach kids,
serve orphaned children, you'll experience the real
world through hands-on work. You can use this experience
to explore your major or career interests. |
|
Volunteering brings
together a variety of people. Both the recipients of
your volunteer efforts and your co-workers can be rich
sources of insight. |
|
Volunteering has many
other intangible benefits. It can help you give back
to society, break down barriers of misunderstanding
or fear, explore personal issues, and even have fun.
|
|
Placing volunteers
is also a part of our activities and the volunteers
always remember in their life time, their happy occasions
and experiences while working with us. The main aspect
of our volunteers' placement is the HOME STAY, which
gives them a very good, first hand knowledge of Indian
Culture, customs, family set up and mingling with the
family members is a memorable one to the volunteers.
The volunteers never forget the week end trips on Saturdays
and Sundays to tourist spots, visiting the families
of the Managing trustee's relatives settled in different
locations and attending the local ceremonies and functions.

Paula of U.K. says: |

'The way M. Mary
Vijaya and her family welcomed me into their home in
virudhunagar was incredible. Living with a host family
allows you to really get to know the locals and experience
the Tamil culture. Spending time with the family gave
me incredible insight into the South Indian way of life
and great friendships were built. With their sense of
humour, overcoming the language barrier became a constant
source of laughter and was, in the end, extremely rewarding.
I am forever grateful for their kindness. Thank you. |
